Are you touching happiness?
How do you define happiness? Views on it vary from person to person. As far as I am concerned, happiness doesnt mean owning a great deal of money or being in the highest social position but to obtain something that inseminates my mind. I am an English major aiming at Business English. Therefore my happiness comes as soon as I have made great breakthroughs in English, like passing the Test for English Majors band 4 or higher if possible or having easy access to the Cambridge Business English Certificate, which are the basic things.
As the saying goes, a teacher is the one who can propagate the doctrine, impart professional knowledge and solve doubts. For many years I have been dreaming of becoming an English teacher which I strongly believe will make me fulfilled and my life will be much more enriched. Therefore I have been working on it since I started to learn English. At the beginning of this semester, I joined the English Corner and I feel very happy and honored for I can work with so many English talents and have a feeling that I am chatting with those from English-speaking countries. After two days morning reading, to my great surprise and satisfaction, I was appointed by the minister of our department as a teacher instructing the freshmen of our association in English Phonetics. I enjoy it very much. It is the first time that I have experienced the role of a teacher, a little bit tough but challenging and exciting. And my students are all working hard because it can be discovered from their eyes that desire knowledge, which makes me feel a sense of achievement. I like American English very much. While I was teaching them American pronunciation, their attention and enthusiasm grew stronger than simply accepting the knowledge of English phonetics. Every time I teach them I feel that I am touching real happiness.
My happiness has come as I wish. What about you? Are you touching happiness?
