小水滴和大海是一对形影不离的好朋友。每天，小水滴都会送给大海许多既好吃又营养的食物吃，从此，大海就越长越大，越长越胖。

　　有一天，大海骄傲地对小水滴说：你瞧你，把镜子拿来好好照照自己，看你长成什么样，又小又瘦，还想跟我继续做朋友，你不配！小水滴听了，不服气地说：我怎么就不配了？我长得又纯洁又乖巧，再说，你长得那么好还不是因为我每天都送东西给你吃。要是没有我，你一定会变得比我还小呢！大海又不相信的说：才不会呢，那我们绝交吧！你别再送东西给我吃了，看我会不会变得像你一样又小又瘦！小水滴听了，非常气愤，真的离开了大海，不再送东西给大海吃了。

　　日子就这样一天一天地过去了，大海没有了小水滴的送的食物吃，真的像小水滴说的那样，一天比一天瘦，一天比一天小，过的一点也不快活。可小水滴呢，别提有多自在了。它来到农村，帮农民伯伯给稻田弟弟增添营养，稻田弟弟连说了好几个谢谢；它又来到发电厂，召集了许多的兄弟姐妹，和它一起发电，工人叔叔可喜欢它了。

　　当大海小的真的不能再小的时候，它后悔了，后悔自己以前的愚蠢，真不该把小水滴赶走。于是，它下定了决心，历尽千辛万苦，终于找到了小水滴们，向它们道了歉。小水滴见它知错就改，也就原谅了它。
